The Site

Motspur Park Gas Holders covers 2.5 hectares. The site is situated a five minute walk from Motspur Park train station and 15 minutes from Worcester Park train station. Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Field lies to the east and Fulham FC training facilities lies to the west. A blend of housing and a range of local amenities are positioned to the north and south.

There are two access routes to the north and south serving the site with the main middle part of the site housing three gas holders and associated infrastructure.

The gas holders used to power London with gas for heating and cooking, but times have changed and improvements in technology means the industry now stores gas within underground pipe networks. Our aim is to consolidate the equipment to enable comprehensive redevelopment of the site for use that’s more beneficial to the local community.
